👤 Author Bio
As an autistic man, Finlay has always experienced the world intensely—feeling deeply, thinking analytically, and often needing more time to process what others may breeze through. Writing became his sanctuary, giving rhythm to reflection and shape to emotion. Over time, he realised his words could also help others.
After a career spanning aviation management, people development, coaching, and therapy, Finlay saw how many of us carry untold stories and unseen strengths. Lines from the Soul grew from his desire to offer companionship on that inner journey—not to fix, but to witness and encourage.
From his earliest scribbles more than 50 years ago to the final manuscript, the book is a mosaic of lived experience, emotion, heartache, joy, vulnerability, and growth. It’s both a map of his becoming and an invitation for others to explore their own.
