💫 Welcome to Love Books Group Blog

Today Tanya Kaanta reviews Sunrise Cabin by Stacey Donovan. A holiday romance fiction book. Published by the lovely folks at Hallmark Publishing.

💫 Back of the book

Two very different people…

One very special place.
Dylan’s an overworked investment banker. Paige is a free-spirited first-grade teacher. From the first time they meet, these two opposites attract.

Meanwhile, the cabin Paige is renting has gone up for sale. She loves living there, and she just might be able to buy it—if she finally achieves her dream of selling her children’s stories. When she learns Dylan is also determined to buy the cabin, their new romance turns into a real estate rivalry.

Dylan could explain his own connection to the place…but that would mean opening up about his past. As his relationship with Paige goes from funny to touching, they both learn more about love and the true meaning of home.

This feel-good romance contains a free Hallmark original recipe for Maple Pecan Streusel Muffins With Cider Glaze.

💫Review by Tanya Kaanta

Sunrise Cabin by Stacey Donovan, it is the season for sweet romances, or what I like to call them, Cozy Cuddles. Sunrise Cabin falls right into this category. Sometimes we want to read about likeable yet flawed characters who find their Happily Ever After. This book is it!
Meet Paige Reynolds. She’s a quirky elementary school teacher who thrives in positive affirmations and sewing her own skirts. I adore Paige and I want to bottle her up and sprinkle her goodness on me. She’s also an aspiring children’s book author.

Her world is turned upside down when the cabin she’s renting is put up for sale. Now, this isn’t just any cabin. It’s the cabin of her dreams. Sure it’s got some quirks and needs repairs. But it’s situated perfectly in the mountains just outside of Denver. The only problem? Unless she gets a book deal, she’s realistically not going to have money to pay for the cabin.

Enter Dylan Cain. He’s your stereotypical arrogant finance guy. Only he’s not the stereotype, after we peel away his layers. He’s complicated, like many of us are. And he’ll stop at nothing to get the cabin as well. Without spoiling too much, suffice to say, he has a connection to the cabin and can easily outbid Paige.
Their chemistry deepens until well, as you can imagine, this all gets complicated when they have a cute meet at the coffee/bakery shop downtown. And well, sparks fly, especially when she’s not afraid to tease the man of perfection.
“No, come by,” she said.
“It’ll be about twenty minutes.”
“I’ll make some tea.”
It made him smile. “You know I don’t actually drink tea, right?”
“You know I do, right?” she parried…
So, what happens when Paige learns Dylan is the one who is buying the cabin?
Never fear my friends, this has a Happy Ending. And it’s worthy of hot tea and a yummy muffin.
