About the Author – Bryan J Mason
Bryan J Mason first wrote Shaking Hands with the Devil in the late 1980s, but the manuscript remained unpublished for more than thirty years before he revisited it and finally found success.
His varied career has included work as a financial investigator, mediator and sound effects creator for BBC Radio. He is now a full-time crime writer who also writes theatre reviews and writes and directs an annual community pantomime.
His Harry & The Squad trilogy began with An Old Tin Can, followed by Dead On, and concludes with There Are No Happy Endings.
Bryan describes his genre as black comedy crime and particularly enjoys exploring historical settings. A history graduate, he is currently writing a new series set around Victorian undertakers.
A member of the Crime Writers’ Association and the Society of Authors, Bryan lives in Bristol with his wife and has two children.
