About Project Deadhead II
DCI MacGillivray derailed PM Peterson’s Project Deadhead.
And an unknown party has launched nukes into space permanently destroying comms satellites and sparking a mini-ice age.
She also wants the country’s hero, MacGillivray, to be the poster boy to roll out the Peel Bots. And, with her leverage over him, she is sure he will dance to her tune.
Is MacGillivray just a powerless puppet? Or does he have a trick or two up his sleeve to take the fight to Peterson and her NSSA force?
A Dystopian Thriller of Power, Control and Survival
What happens when a country already facing extraordinary challenges finds itself at the mercy of political ambition and technological upheaval?
In Project Deadhead II, Bob Fairbrother continues the story of DCI MacGillivray, the detective who previously thwarted Prime Minister Peterson’s Project Deadhead.
But his victory has not brought peace.
An unknown party has launched nuclear weapons into space, destroying communications satellites and setting off a mini-ice age.
Against this backdrop of uncertainty and national crisis, Peterson remains determined to push forward with her plans.
Her latest ambition involves introducing Peel Bots, and she wants MacGillivray, now regarded as a national hero, to become the public face of the initiative.
With leverage over him, Peterson believes she can dictate his actions.
But MacGillivray may not be as easily controlled as she expects.
Combining dystopian suspense with political intrigue and questions about government power, technology and personal freedom, Project Deadhead II invites readers to consider how fragile society can become when those in authority pursue their own agendas.
Perfect for readers who enjoy speculative thrillers, political conspiracies, dystopian fiction and stories that explore the darker possibilities of our technological future.
