We’re particularly excited to announce that two of her previously published novels, Hox and Ushig, will be refreshed and republished through Acorn & Ink Publishing.

Meet Annemarie Allan

Originally from Edinburgh and now based in East Lothian, Annemarie Allan is an award-winning Scottish author whose writing draws inspiration from Scotland’s remarkable landscapes, history, folklore and culture.

Her stories bring together adventure, imagination and compelling characters, creating fictional worlds that encourage young readers to explore the extraordinary possibilities of storytelling.

Annemarie has established herself as a distinctive voice in children’s and young adult fiction, with published works including Hox, Ushig, Breaker and Charlie’s Promise.

Her writing has received recognition through literary awards and nominations, reflecting the appeal of her storytelling to young readers.

Annemarie’s novel Hox won the 2007 Kelpies Prize, an award recognising outstanding children’s fiction.

Her novel Ushig was subsequently shortlisted for the 2011 Essex Children’s Book Award.
