Meet Abigail Keam
Abigail Keam is an award-winning and best-selling author who writes the Josiah Reynolds Mystery Series, featuring a Southern female beekeeper turned amateur sleuth living in the glamorous world of bourbon, antebellum mansions and Thoroughbred farms.
Abigail’s connection to her protagonist goes beyond fiction. An award-winning beekeeper herself, she spent many years selling honey at a farmers’ market and has won numerous honey awards at the Kentucky State Fair, including the Barbara Horn Award.
She has used her knowledge of beekeeping to create Josiah Reynolds and her Bluegrass mysteries, while also exploring the importance of sustainable local food economies and land management for honeybees and other creatures.
Abigail currently lives on the Kentucky River with her husband and various critters.
