Coming Soon: Silent Y by Katherine Benfante
We’re excited to be sharing the upcoming Bookstagram tour for Silent Y by Katherine Benfante, running from 30th January to 8th February with Love Books Tours.
Blending science fiction, dystopian tension, and romance, Silent Y explores power, control, rebellion, and the dangerous cost of uncovering the truth. Across the tour dates, our Bookstagram hosts will be sharing their reviews and creative posts on Instagram.
📖 About the Book
In 2142, women control human reproduction — and they’re about to weaponise it.
Dart Maylord is a brilliant but isolated endocrinology researcher working for the Department of Reproduction in the female-ruled half of a divided America. She’s never met a man, never questioned the wall that splits Washington, D.C., or the lies told about what exists beyond it.
Until one day, a male researcher crosses that wall.
Alex Smern isn’t the violent Neanderthal Dart was led to expect. He’s intelligent, curious, and challenges everything she thought she knew. Their collaboration begins with science but quickly turns into something far more dangerous: connection, trust, and desire.
When Dart uncovers a classified document revealing that the reproductive system isn’t just being managed but manipulated — and that men are being systematically erased — she realises the truth may destroy everything she loves. With her own family potentially behind the scheme, Dart must decide whether protecting them is worth sacrificing the future.
✍️ About the Author
Katherine Benfante writes science fiction with a strong focus on scientific realism — she likes to “put the science in science fiction.” A former mechanical engineer and French teacher, Katherine now lives in New Jersey with her husband and two daughters. Her short fiction has appeared in The Accidental Time Traveller’s Collective, and she is currently working on a standalone science fiction novel alongside a sequel to Scattered.
