About the Series
The Adventures of Rupert and Nell is a delightful collection of illustrated stories created for shared reading and bedtime magic. Each book follows the lovable Rupert, sensible Nell, and the mischievous Wee Nessie as they explore the Highlands and find themselves in gentle, whimsical adventures.
Meet the Characters
🐾 Rupert
A gentle Scottish Deerhound who loves chocolate, pancakes, and getting himself into unexpected situations — usually involving water or mid-air mishaps!
🐾 Nell
A wise and loyal Border Collie who has retired from farm life and now enjoys peaceful days at the cottage by Loch Ness… when she’s not pulled into Rupert’s latest plan.
🐉 Wee Nessie
The bubbly daughter of the Loch Ness Monster. She loves flying, adventure, and swooping in to help her friends — even if her landings are still a work in progress.
About the Author
Bill Brodie grew up on a small Scottish farm where the heart and humour of Rupert and Nell first took shape. Originally written for his nieces, his stories have found a wider audience of children who adore Rupert’s gentle chaos and Nell’s steady kindness.
