Book Review: The Sister Switch by Charlotte Butterfield

I absolutely loved The Sister Switch! Charlotte Butterfield delivers such a funny, heart-warming story that had me grinning one minute and getting a little misty-eyed the next.

Alice and Edie are brilliant characters—flawed, relatable, and full of personality. The “life swap” premise is executed perfectly, with so many laugh-out-loud moments as each sister stumbles through the other’s daily chaos. But what really made this book shine for me was how, beneath the humour, it explores real-life issues—relationships, family expectations, career pressures—and does so with genuine warmth and empathy.

The dynamic between the sisters felt so authentic; you could feel both the tension and the love between them. Watching their rivalry shift into mutual understanding and support was incredibly satisfying.

This is more than just a feel-good read—it’s a reminder that even the people we think we know best often carry unseen struggles. A charming, uplifting story that left me smiling long after I turned the final page.
