A Jaffa Cake Musical: A Deliciously Fun at Edinburgh Fringe

Attending A Jaffa Cake Musical as my first show of this year’s Edinburgh Fringe was a delight! Inspired by the legendary 1991 tribunal that sought to answer the age-old question—is it a cake or a biscuit?—Gigglemug Theatre delivers a scrumptiously entertaining performance that left me in stitches.

This family-friendly musical comedy from the multi-award-winning creators of Scouts! The Musical, RuneSical, and Timpson: The Musical has everything: winning songs, blistering wit, and laugh-a-minute silliness. The show’s brilliance is evident from the start, with toe-tapping tunes and hilarious dialogue that clarify why previous productions have garnered such high praise. Bear Grylls calls them “Incredible!” while the Daily Express touts their “Laugh-a-minute silliness.”
