Katherine Applegate paints an image of hope, friendship and bravery through the young Willodeen and her pal Connor. The narrative teaches us that we are all interconnected and each part of the environment needs to be cherished. Willodeen is a wonderfully written book, which will engage readers of all ages. It’s an inspiring tale which will linger long in the memory.

Had an extremely fun day out with my friend yesterday. Great food, theatre show and I met some of the cast. Finished off with a trip to the meadows festival. I found a little free library. Going back today to put in some books.

Second walk away from the desk. Making different choice and putting the Mac off at a good time and then doing something just for me. Walking down to the river to read haa been exceptional.

As soon as I started reading The Housemaid by Freida McFadden, I knew I was in for a thrilling ride. From the very beginning, I was hooked by the vivid and atmospheric writing style that brought the story to life. The perspective of the housemaid added an intriguing and unique layer to the plotline, giving readers a front-row seat to the secrets and scandals of the Winchester family.

Finished at LBT and walked down to the river to read.
