Slow, Slow Sedrick by Katie Budge  (Author), Lauren Galley (Illustrator)

Sedrick is so slow…but he is a snail! He would love to be as fast as his friends, otherwise he feels that he just doesn’t fit in. But one day he meets another snail who shows him, there is nothing wrong with going slow. Going slow means you can take in all the beautiful nature that surrounds you (something we could all do from time to time.) He also learns that just because he is slow, that doesn’t mean he can’t achieve what he wants! He can go wherever he wants, just at his own pace. Which is a fantastic thing for us all to learn! There will always be someone quicker than ourselves, but if we put our minds to something, we can achieve anything we want! And maybe Sedrick’s calm attitude may rub off on his speedy friends
