Quarantine (from a novel called Yours Truly, narrated by Death) – @AlexNyeWriter #ReadingAloud

Alex Nye

Alex writes historical fiction for both adults and younger readers. Her first novel CHILL, a ghost story set on Sheriffmuir, won the Scottish Book Trust/Royal Mail Award. She grew up by the sea in Norfolk, and when she was 16 she won the W H Smith Young Writers’ Award out of 33,000 entrants – which she has never allowed anyone to forget, because it was judged by Ted Hughes. She graduated from King’s College more years ago than she cares to remember, and has six titles to her name. She is often a Writer in Residence in schools through the Scottish Book Trust, and a Creative Writing Mentor through the What’s Your Story programme. She loves working with and inspiring young people.

Thank you to Alex Nye for being the first author to take part in our Read Aloud feature.
