I have my review today for Forget Me Not by Claire Allan as part of the Avon Books blog tour.
Forget Me Not by Claire Allan

I disappeared on a Tuesday afternoon. I was there one minute and the next I was gone. They’ve never found my body…
It’s six in the morning during the hottest summer on record when Elizabeth O’Loughlin, out walking her dog, comes across Clare, a victim of a horrific knife attack, clinging onto life at the side of the road.
Clare dies minutes later, but not before whispering her haunting last words to Elizabeth.
When it becomes clear that Clare’s killer has more than one murder on his mind, Elizabeth has to take drastic action or face losing everything.
But what if she can’t stop a killer determined never to be forgotten?
Review by Kelly Lacey
Forget Me Not by Claire Allan was an epic adventure. I felt like I took a breath on page one and didn’t exhale till I closed the book. It literally sucked me in and I was there with beside the characters and real life was gone.
I read it start to finish on a Sunday evening and I was so fulfilled when it finished. It was the virtual equivalent of that awesome Sunday roast with the best gravy and the crispy roast potatoes. That leaves you in a food coma where you can’t move and you’re in a blissful state. Well, equate all that full happy feeling to Forget Me Not.
The book is written from Rachel and Elizabeth’s point of view. I love how Ms Allan was able to give the women very distinctive voices. Even though each chapter has their name above you could tell who was talking straight away.
The plot was extremely clever and well paced. I would say I guess the murderer in most crime fiction books but Ms Allan had me stumped. Also, it wasn’t rushed at all at the end. It was just so clever and reading all the pieces coming together was so much fun. It was emotional too, with the author making me have feelings of loss and grief for fictional characters. But that is how good the writing is, they just came to life from the page in my mind’s eye and they were really likeable, relatable people.
I highly recommend this heart thumping adventure. It is most definitely a “just one more chapter” book. Buy it today you will not be disappointed.
