From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a Horribly Sunny Mystery, The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant.

NOBODY MESSES WITH HIS LIBRARIAN. . .
Who killed Michael Vanderhorst’s maker? It’s a darn good question. But when the trail brings Michael to hellishly sunny Phoenix, Arizona, his biggest problem soon becomes a cute little librarian he can’t seem to stay away from. He’s never met a bigger danger magnet! Even her book cart has it out for her. And is that the drug cartel following her around, too? “Dear God, woman! What have you gotten yourself into?”

Things go from bad to worse when local vampires won’t play nice.

Can this four-hundred-year-old vampire keep his librarian safe and himself out of hot water? Can he bring his maker’s killer to justice? Yesterday, he would’ve said yes. But yesterday, he didn’t have a strange connection with a librarian. Yesterday, people weren’t trying to kill her.

New York Times Bestselling Author, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff has mastered the art of romance and humor. One need only look at her latest installment, The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant, Book Two.

Yes, this story is quirky and corny, as is the title. But friends, I could not stop reading. Nor could I stop laughing. Even more bonus, the mystery propelling the plot kept me glued to the pages. It’s not every day I find a book that taps several of the genres I love: romance, mystery, comedy, and paranormal.

So, what is this Librarian Vampire Assistant Book series all about? In a nutshell, Michael Vanderhorst is a geezer of a vampire permanently locked in a twenty-year old body. He’s on a mission to discover who killed his longtime friend and maker, Clive. As he travels from Cincinnati to Phoenix, Arizona, he’s mysteriously drawn to a klutzy but sweet librarian, Miriam.

Why Miriam? That’s part of the mystery. And somehow, she’s wrapped up in the murder of Clive. Book one takes us to Phoenix where he mistakenly interviews for a job at her library, while uncovering a nefarious plot extending beyond Clive’s murder.

Book two picks up where Book one ends. Without spoiling too much, Michael is tasked with changing Miriam into a vampire, though she still has no idea he’s a vampire. Yet, he won’t change her, but can’t stay away.

She is… We are…connected. Yes, that is the proper word, though I have no explanation as to why. I simply know that from the first moment I saw her in a café down the street—no morning is complete without strong coffee—I felt the need to protect this quirky, adorably shy female.

Michael is in full investigation mode regarding Clive’s death and uncovers a well-organized conspiracy.  If you haven’t read Book 1, I highly recommend doing so, even though book two can technically be read as stand-alone. While one major hook is resolved in Book 2, a new hook awaits Book 3, where hopefully we’ll have our resolution. Until that installment is released, Ms. Pamfiloff has a plethora of other romance series to whet the appetite.
