Who would have thought Harry Potter could have gotten any more magical. Well in my eyes it has, with this wonderful Scots edition. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stane has been translated by the talented Matthew Fitt.  I’m was a huge fan of Matthew Fitts Scots translation of Chairlie and the Chocolate Works so I squealed with delight that my favourite wee man Harry Potter was getting the transformation too.

The book is a delight, it’s packed full with a plethora of Scottish lingo. I have to say I had tears of laughter flowing down my face at some of the descriptions.
