Today I am on the blog tour for Meet Me At The Lighthouse by Mary Jayne Baker. Published by Harper Impulse on September 7th, 2017.
Meet Me At The Lighthouse ~ Review
The cover is very pretty, vibrant and memorable. It compliments the story perfectly. The book was incredibly refreshing. There are 1000’s of romance novels on sale and often they can become mundane, repetitive and bland. Not in the case of Meet Me At The Lighthouse, Baker manages to keep her story refreshing and on point. With intricate side stories threaded through the main event. There was never a dull moment or a need to skim.
Bobbie is a unique and loveable character, I have to be honest and reveal that every time they said Miss Hannigan, I was immediately blasted back to the 1980’s movie Annie and I giggled each time. Bobbie is a modern women, strong, independent and someone I would like to know.
Baker has done a very good job of keeping the book modern without any cliche long drawn out scenes of lovey dovey nonsense. The book is witty, engaging and sentimental.
I recommend the book to lovers of love and to those who like to remember those gone before us and how important it is for us to keep shining a light for them.

The day I turned 28, I bought a lighthouse and met the love of my life’
Bobbie Hannigan’s life in a cottage by the sea with her dog and her twin sister is perfectly fine … until she decides the logical thing is to buy a lighthouse and open a music venue with Ross Mason, the first boy she ever kissed.
Bobbie tries to be professional with Ross, but the happily-ever-after they’re working toward is too good to resist. That is until someone from his past crawls back to cause trouble. Can Bobbie look past the secrets Ross has been keeping from her? Or will the boy, the lighthouse, and the dream all slip away?
Huge thanks to Harper Impulse and Mary Jayne Baker for the opportunity to be on the tour and for the ARC.
