J. Chad Mitchell helps young people lead—right now, not someday. A lifelong coach, teacher, mentor, and father, Chad has spent more than 30 years working alongside youth, witnessing the powerful impact that everyday leadership can have on teams, schools, and communities.
Those experiences inspired Change Your Game, a practical, story-driven guide for readers aged 11–22 that encourages leadership built on confidence, empathy, and character. The book has quickly become a trusted resource for parents, educators, and mentors seeking to nurture leadership at home and in the classroom.
Chad lives in Richland, Washington with his wife Bonnie. Together they’ve raised six children and now proudly cheer on their five granddaughters. When he’s not working with young people, Chad serves as an attorney at Summit Law Group in Seattle, coaches high school lacrosse, and mentors youth through community and outreach programmes.
