We’re delighted to be sharing the upcoming UK Bookstagram tour for Death on the Dee: A Ballochbrae Book Club Mystery by M C Mackay, running from 2nd to 11th February with Love Books Tours.

On the doorstep of Balmoral Castle, Flora, Heather, Chatty and Morag — women of a certain age — have formed the Ballochbrae Book Club. But when a body is dragged from the River Dee, their quiet Highland village is rocked, and the book club members decide to pursue their own enquiries.
When incomers Rupert and Ollie take over the Ballochbrae Arms Hotel, they receive a mixed reception from locals before becoming the targets of malicious messages. Unable to resist getting involved, the would-be detectives soon find themselves tangled in secrets and lies that run deep within the village.
As their investigation falters and tensions rise, it becomes clear that one of their new-found friends is in mortal danger. With time running out, can the Ballochbrae Book Group uncover the truth before it’s too late?

✍️ About the Author
M C Mackay spent her childhood in Fort William, at the foot of Ben Nevis, surrounded by the landscapes that continue to inspire her writing. After careers in advertising, HR, and antiques dealing, she returned to her first love — writing — and now writes full time. Much of her work draws on time spent on Deeside, where the Cairngorm mountains, ancient forests, and peaty rivers provide rich inspiration.
