👤 About the Author
Chaz Holesworth is a Philadelphia-born writer whose work is shaped by lived experience — poverty, trauma, a father battling heroin addiction, and a mother grounded in fundamentalist Christianity. After 25 years of writing, he channels these contrasting worlds into poetry that examines love, loneliness, depression, faith, politics, and society’s fractures with bold honesty.
His debut memoir, Life and How to Live It: Volume One: Begin the Begin, introduced readers to his voice. When the Light is Mine goes even deeper, exploring what it means to survive, question, and search for meaning in a complicated world.
