In the land of Animalia, every kind of animal has its town — and its own incredible music. But when the world-famous Eight Cool Cats are kidnapped by a sneaky dog manager named Ruffa Puffertwight, things take a wild turn.
Ruffa has a big problem: he wants to win the new Super Band Competition in Birdheights, where mixed-animal bands aren’t allowed. His “brilliant” (and terrible) plan? Kidnap the cats’ mothers with sleepy-time milk and force the kittens to disguise themselves as dogs to play in his not-so-great dog band.
Now the Cool Cats are stuck on a madcap road trip to the contest, trying to hide their secret tails, rescue their mums, and outsmart Ruffa — all while keeping the beat!

Alex Maister has lived in the UK most of his life and spent many years working in marketing and filmmaking. He’s produced animation, independent films, and even studied writing for television at UCLA. His creative work often focuses on marginalised characters, weaving together humour, adventure, and heart.
