⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hot for Slayer by Ali Hazelwood was such a fun, fiery read — the perfect blend of paranormal heat and witty banter. I loved the set-up: a vampire slayer who loses his memory and ends up living with the vampire he’s spent centuries trying to kill. It’s ridiculous in the best possible way, and Hazelwood leans into that delicious tension from the very first page.

Ethel, the vampire, completely stole the show for me. She’s sharp, self-aware, and surprisingly tender beneath the centuries of bite and bravado. The chemistry between her and Lazlo is electric — both funny and unexpectedly emotional. There’s real warmth beneath the spice, and moments that made me smile like an eejit.

It’s a quick read, but it doesn’t feel rushed. Hazelwood packs in humour, heart, and a lot of heat — a reminder that even in the darkest corners, there’s room for love (and a good bit of sarcasm).

A clever, spicy, and full of charm — a Halloween treat with bite.
