Beautiful Nightmare by Katee Robert was such a fantastic little read — clever, funny, spicy, and surprisingly sweet. I adored the idea of a slightly awkward sleep paralysis demon whose first haunting goes completely off the rails. It’s spooky, romantic, and just the right kind of cheeky for a Halloween night in.
Gemma completely stole my heart. She’s meant to terrify, but she’s too endearing and a wee bit chaotic for that. And let’s just say, things definitely heat up. There were moments that made me blush and grin like a daftie.
Katee Robert knows exactly how to balance heat, humour, and heart. For a short story, it feels so full — like falling into a dream you secretly hope won’t end.
A spicy, spooky, and utterly joyful read — perfect for when you want a little magic, mischief, and mayhem.
