🔒 Just One More Chapter… My Review of The Locked Door by Freida McFadden
I picked up The Locked Door by Freida McFadden, and before I knew it, I’d devoured the entire book in one sitting. McFadden’s writing is like a magnet—once you start, there’s no putting it down.
The story follows Dr. Nora Davis, a successful surgeon with a haunting past: her father is a notorious serial killer. Just as she’s settled into a quiet life, a series of murders mimicking her father’s methods thrusts her back into a world she’d hoped to forget.
What I love about McFadden’s storytelling is her ability to blend suspense with sharp wit. Even amidst the chilling plot, some moments made me chuckle, offering brief respites from the tension.
The narrative’s pacing is impeccable, with twists that kept me guessing until the very end. McFadden masterfully crafts an unreliable narrator in Nora, making me question everything I thought I knew about her.
In short, The Locked Door is a thrilling ride from start to finish. If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers that keep you on your toes, this one’s a must-read.
