Jo Somerset is based in Manchester, UK. She won the Leanne Bridgwater Award for Innovation and Experiment in 2020 from the University of Salford, where she completed a MA in Creative Writing. Mission: Find Mum is her first book. Her inspiration for Isla and Lac’s story jumped out on a trip to Tiree in the Scottish Outer Hebrides. Like Isla, Jo grew up in Birmingham, UK. Her love of the Hebridean islands underpins Isla and Lac’s heartfelt journey to find out the truth.
