Aware that to find closure, his wife must come to terms with this being no more than a tragic accident, the stepfather – a member of the British establishment – seeks the help of Police Scotland to corroborate the facts.

Two Edinburgh officers, John and Harry, are sent to Chamonix where they are thrust into a world of enigmatic contradictions: conflicting evidence, perplexing cultural norms, and a way of life that exposes the different value sets of generations.

As they work through the case, something sinister emerges in this winter wonderland, and the officers find themselves questioning the very fabric of the world their generation has woven for the next.

Author Bio:

Oliver’s journey began in Edinburgh, where at a young age he discovered his love for Scotland’s rugged terrain and outdoor adventures. After studying Outdoor Education he pursued a career as an outdoor instructor.

Oliver’s journey has been anything but ordinary. From ventures in business and policing to working in academia and chalet construction, he’s embraced diverse experiences.

Now settled in Perthshire, Scotland, Oliver spends his days climbing the odd hill, sailing, kayaking, and sharing his knowledge, experiences, and adventures through writing and lecturing.
