Review by Kelly Lacey

As soon as the lights dimmed and the spotlight illuminated the stage, the audience was swept away into a high-spirited world of Cappella music. Out of the Blue, a talented group from the University of Oxford, took the Gordon Aikman Theatre by storm with its impressive harmonies and catchy tunes. The hour-long show flew by in a flurry of energy and excitement, leaving the crowd cheering for an encore.

It was evident that the boys had poured their heart and soul into their performance, showcasing new songs that had everyone humming along and old favourites that brought back fond memories. Out of the Blue’s talent has not gone unnoticed, as they’ve already gained international acclaim, but they were clearly grateful to be back in Edinburgh.

Overall, the show was an absolute delight and a testament to the incredible talent coming out of Oxford University. Out of the Blue’s blend of musical excellence and high spirits made for an unforgettable performance that was truly a must-see at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
