Dr Jacky Gramosi Collins, as the event’s chair began by introducing Mark Leggatt and highlighting his numerous achievements, including Penitent’s longlisting for the prestigious Mcllvaney prize.
As the author of five previous novels, Mark Leggatt was no stranger to the writing process, but it was clear from the way he spoke that he was still very passionate about his craft. His discussion with Dr Jacky Gramosi Collins ranged from the inspiration behind the plot of Penitent to his writing process, giving attendees a glimpse into the inner workings of an author’s mind.
