Southern Light’s latest production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is an absolute delight! From start to finish, the audience is taken on a magical journey filled with heartwarming songs, beautiful choreography, and an amazing cast. The Festival Theatre was buzzing with excitement on opening night and it’s easy to see why.
The well-known story of inventor Caractacus Potts and his children is brought to life in a truly spectacular way, thanks to the incredible music of Richard M Sherman and Robert B Sherman. The cast shines as they perform classic songs like “Hushabye Mountain” and, of course, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”. The show-stopping musical numbers will have you tapping your toes and singing along.
One of the highlights of the production is the stunning sets and special effects. The audience was left in awe as they watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang fly across the stage, surrounded by magical smoke and glittering lights. The production truly captured the imagination of the audience and left them feeling enchanted.
It’s clear that Southern Light put its heart and soul into this production, as every aspect of the show was executed to perfection. The talented cast brought their characters to life with infectious energy and the orchestra played the iconic music with such passion that it brought tears to my eyes.
