The Paid Bridesmaid by Sariah Wilson

I grew up on movies like While You Were Sleeping and The Bachelor. They were my guide to what romance and love should look like. Boy was I mislead! Haha, it is why I am not a huge fan of cheesy rom-com reads. But then one comes along that is so much more than that. The Paid Bridesmaid is so clever I was sucked in (gratefully).

Rachel Vinson is a paid bridesmaid and has made a successful small business out of it. Women hire her to stand in on their big day for a variety of reasons.  Camden Lewis is the best man and he is fantastically attractive (In my head he was Chris Pine). When their world collides and Camden is very suspicious of Rachel a rollercoaster of situations playout in the book.

I loved all the squirmy awkward moments. I live for moments like that in books. When you have second-hand embarrassment even from fictional characters. That goes to show how clever and funny the writing really is. Plus it’s cheese-free, relatable and believable.

I loved it and didn’t want it to end. I finished it and then went and gifted my girlfriends a copy via Amazon. Because I wanted to spread the love. Plus I really was in shock that the book was funny and that good kind of funny!

It would make for an amazing movie and I will try and manifest that to happen with my 2022 goals! You gotta hope, right?

Grab your copy get a hot or cold drink, blanket and some snacks and settle in for a few hours of dedicated belly laughs and incredible writing!

Perfect for fans of….. I can’t give you a comparison because this is the first time I’ve read a rom-com THIS good.

FIVE stars!
