Find Her First by Emma Christie

Find Her First review by Kelly Lacey
This was my first experience of Emma’s writing and it will not be my last. I was chuffed to know I had Silent Daughter waiting for me on my bookcase after I finished FHF. Find Her First was a gentle easy read with such great build-up and memorable characters.
I love when a book features places I know, Edinburgh and the Lothians make their appearances throughout. It does add that additional reading element when you can plop the fictional characters into a real place in your mind.
The book is well-paced and would be great for readers who like less of a gory read and more of a thriller. There are various important themes covered in the book and I enjoyed the dilemmas they threw up for me as the reader.
Betty was my favourite character and I really feel (hint hint, EC and publisher) that there could be a whole host of future books with her at the core. There are lots of houses in East Lothian with stories that are just waiting on Betty to clean and explore. One thing I did want to know is how old is Betty meant to be?
I really loved the dedication in the book and I would love to know more about it
An engaging read that will let you escape for a few hours.
Thank you to Emma Christie and Welbeck Publishing for my gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.
