The Kings Theatre, Edinburgh was brought to life by the Bohemians Lyric Opera Company, as they performed musical Footloose.
The performance was hugely entertaining and the cast of 60 was fantastic. With a mix of favourite hits and the welcome addition of some new ones. Recreating the 1984 movie on stage is a task in itself. But the cast made it look effortless.
Christopher Cameron stole the show as Reverend Shaw Moore. Felicity Thomas as Ariel, the daughter of the Reverand, was mesmerizing. Other castings were a little off, with singing voices not blending and perhaps the love story was a little unconvincing.
Overall an excellent evening and I would give the show four stars. This huge ensemble came together and delivered from start to finish.
